1. You always need to have your face as clean as possible when applying makeup, so wash your face. It's recommended that instead of using any cleaning products, per se (like toner, gel, etc.) you might want to use makeup remover pads that you can find in Walgreens (or any local drug store, really). Neutrogena has a wonderful one. Take a pad and very lightly wet it (you only need a few drops), then wipe your face. Once you're done, take a towel and very lightly pat your face.

2. Apply a foundation that matches your skin tone over your face (evenly, of course). Then, use a loose powder that matches your skin and blend evenly. If you're going to school with this makeup guide, you might want to use just a loose powder.

3. If you have any, apply an eyelid primer on your eyelids that matches your skin tone. Then, take a non-shimmery silver eyeshadow, and apply that on your eyelid. Do the best you can not to go above your eyelid crease. Then, take a non-shimmery white eyeshadow and blend that eyeshadow with your silver eyeshadow. Again, do not go above your eyelid crease.

4. Take a black mascara with a moderately large or large wand and apply a coat on your upper eyelashes. Give your mascara a minimum (notice that I said minimum) of five seconds to dry. Apply two-three more coats, and give each coat at least five seconds to dry. Take a black mascara with a very small or small wand and apply a coat on your lower eyelashes. I guess you could say that this part is optional, because some people do not like to have mascara on their lower eyelashes, like me, for example.

5. Take a black cream eyeliner and moderately apply as close to the edge of your eyelids as possible. Go slightly outward and make a moderate wing. Take note that your eyeliner should not touch your eyelid crease, or really be near your eyelid crease, for that matter.

6. Take a light pink blush and apply on the apples of your cheeks. Smile if you don't know where your apples are.

7. Apply a lip balm, preferably with no shimmer. Take a somewhat dark pink (almost a fuschia color) and apply that on your upper and lower lips. Take a fragment of tissue or toilet paper and wrap your lips around that for only a second. Doing this for any longer could remove all of your lipsticks.


8. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how Taylor put the glittery stars on her cheeks, but I'm assuming that she went to a craft store or something and put some sort of glue that wouldn't harm your face and just glued the stars on her cheeks. Again, I'm not entirely sure.

9. Make sure that everything looks okay. Look for mascara clumps, unblended foundation, etc.

10. You're done!
