Makeup 085

1. Wash your face. If you use a cleansing soap, be sure that whatever you're using does not contain anything that could cause allergic reactions or otherwise irritate your skin. If you use a towel or rag, be sure that you pat and not wipe, unless you absolutely have to.
2. Apply a liquid foundation (or a powder foundation, if you desire a more natural look) that is as close to your skin tone as possible. It looks awful-and I mean AWFUL-if your foundation is too dark or too light. BLEND EVENLY- unblended makeup doesn't look good either. Be sure to apply a loose powder (again, the color of your skin tone) over your face. Be sure not to apply too much, however, or you lose the flawless look that foundation gives you.
3. Apply an eyelid primer; this is optional, but definitely recommended. Apply a non-shimmery silver eyeshadow. Apply it entirely over your eyelid, and stop at your eyelid crease. It is critical that you do not go any farther than your eyelid crease for this guide. Take a non-shimmery light blue eyeshadow and apply it the same way you did your silver eyeshadow. Blend evenly in order to accomplish a silvery-blue color.
4. If you want lashes like Miss Swift, apply a lash curler on your upper eyelashes if you'd like (this is optional, of course). Using a black stilletto mascara, apply 4-5 coats of mascara on your upper eyelashes. Now, take a normal black mascara (this excludes stiletto, curling, etc.) and apply 1-2 coats of mascara on your lower eyelashes.
5. Take a black liquid eyeliner and apply it as thinly as you can on the edge of your eyelids, making sure that it does not touch your eyelid crease. Now, take a black cream eyeliner and, as thinly as you can, trace around your eyes. Be sure not to make smudges, because that's not what you want in this guide.
6. Apply a light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. If you do not know where your apples are, smile, as this best defines them.
7. Apply a lip balm. I recommend Nivea or Burt's Bees. Either one's pretty good, and they don't cost all that much at your local Walgreens, or something similar to it.
8. Apply a non-glittery light pink lipstick. Now, take a fragment of tissue or toilet paper and put your lips around it. Stay like that for at least two seconds. This removes excess lipstick. I find it really useful.
9. Make sure everything looks okay.
10. You're done, and enjoy looking like Taylor Swift!
