Hair 051

This is similar to the faux bob style Taylor loves, but this particular style looks like more of an updo, so I've written it as one.
1. Of course, you need clean hair that's free or dirt, grease, tangles etc. The best time to wash your hair would be a day before you try to replicate this style. Give yourself a side parting, then brush through your hair and heat up a medium sized curling iron. Let it heat fully, so that it's piping hot and able to create great curls. I'd reccomend hair serums or mousses that encourage curly styles for a better finish, but I didn't use any and my hair still turned out pretty well.
2. Curl your hair away from your face in one direction, so that all the curls are synchronised. We aren't creating corkscrew curls, so you can use the clip, if you like. Repeat this around your head. Use a light coat of hairspray to set the look.
3. Gently bring your hair over your left shoulder and set a bunch of hair grips in front of you so that you can access them easily as you style. You're going to need a lot of them (probably), so they're going to be visible. Because of this, I suggest using grips meant for your hair colour.
4. Gently take one of your curls and loosely twist it around your index finger, starting from the roots. When the reach the end of the piece of hair, smoothly twist halfway back of the hair again, then press the twist to your head. Grip it in place. It might take a few tries to get this movement right - it did for me anyway - so don't stress if it doesn't turn out right straight away.
5. Once all your hair is clipped in place, check for any loose pieces and clip them back up. Use a lot of hairspray to hold the look in place.
