Hair 029

1. Wash your hair and condition well. Wrap it in a towel then leave it there until it is damp rather than wet. At this point, blowdry straight with a hairbrush. To do this, pick up sections of hair from underneath with a paddle brush and very slowly run the brush down the hair whilst blasting it with the hairdryer. Do this in layers to speed up the process.

2. Plug in your straighteners and set them to a high heat setting (but not so hot you're gonna burn your hair off, obviously). Whilst you are waiting for the straighteners to heat, thoroughly brush through your hair until it's tangle free. Apply heat-defence, then take your straighteners. For a pin-straight look, again you need to work in layers. So, lift the top of your head and secure it in place out of the way, leaving the bottom section of hair still hanging normally. Brush out a 1-2inch section and slowly run the straighteners through it. Repeat this until all the hair is straight, then release some more hair, and once all that hair is straight release more, and so on.

3. Some people end up with frizzy hair after straightening, so some kind of anti-frizz serum is optional. I reccomend Charles Worthington's products for this. Brush through all your hair again. It's optional to use hairspray as it may cause your hair to go crusty, but if you have a product that doesn't do this, it's a good idea to use it.
